Parliament hosts a large crowd to mark Holocaust Memorial Day

More than 200 guests including Holocaust survivors, Parliamentarians, Holocaust Educational Trust ambassadors and supporters gathered at the Houses of Parliament for the Lord Merlyn-Rees memorial lecture. The guest speakers, David Miliband MP and Daniel Finkelstein, executive editor The Times, spoke about their families’ personal connections to the Holocaust and emphasised the importance of Holocaust education. The annual event was hosted by journalist Martha Kearney whose late mother-in-law was a Shoah survivor.
