More than 300 people attended the Weizmann UK gala dinner at the Science Museum in London. Keynote speaker Professor Simon Schama told the guests that if there was one place that represented a vindication of the Jewish dream it would be the Weizmann Institute. Over £550,000 was raised to support scientific collaboration between the Israeli Institute and UK research institutions.
