Actress Joanna Lumley was the star turn at a fundraising dinner for Manchester’s Federation of Jewish Services. In an interview with radio personality Nicky Campbell the actress answered questions about her film and television career. She also thanked the 630-strong crowd for feeling “part of the family” in supporting the communal charity. The event, held at The Sheridan Suite in north Manchester, raised £1.2 million for the welfare organisation which merged with Heathlands care home in 2009.
