More than 100 people attended the reception for the launch of the tenth Leeds International Jewish Performing Arts Festival. Stan Cundle, the festival chairman, told the guests: “It’s been a wonderful 10 years. The festival goes from strength to strength.” JC editor Stephen Pollard opened the event at the Carriageworks Theatre in Leeds city centre. Some 3,000 people attended the 26 shows performed during the five-day event.
