articlemain

The humanisation of robots took centre stage at this year’s British Technion Society Ron Arad lecture, as two leading robotics experts highlighted the importance of robot ethics. Speaking to a capacity audience of 300 people at the Royal College of Physicians in Regents Park, Israeli roboticist Dr Alon Wolf and Professor Alan Winfield presented the latest developments in robotics. The event raised almost £200,000 for a research programme in Dr Wolf’s laboratory at the Technion-Israel Institute of Technology.
