Small wonders

No matter where your destination, carry-on toiletries are a challenge to get right.

Any woman that loves her cosmetic and wash-bag feels more confident having her products close by, in-flight, rather than in the undercarriage. God forbid it gets lost and you're without; it would scar your holiday more than bad weather ever could.

Budget airlines are the worst culprits they force us to decide between our besties and our mediocre cosmetics: a challenge for any beauty junkie.

Nevertheless, restrictions on looking and feeling gorgeous should never be overlooked. My tip? Decant all your favourite liquids in empty plastic bottles and look for miniature versions of your best-selling products. On every possible occasion choose multi-tasking makeup that ticks all the boxes in one. Don't, however, go stingy on suncream. The teeny-size kid's sun lotion is a great handbag-friendly choice, even if you're lucky enough to be travelling without children.

Finally, don't fret. Airside Boots ensures we're never totally deprived. So whatever items you take on board, make them count!
