Show time!

If anyone knows how to kick off London Fashion Week in style, it's the queen of the supermodel pack, Naomi Campbell. Her Fashion For Relief catwalk show raised funds and awareness for the Ebola crisis. Joined by fellow supermodels and actresses it was the golden ticket show.

The morning after saw the fashion pack shuffling in their heels to celebrate designers' new collections for autumn/winter 2015. Although it still feels like we're very much in the heart of a cold crisp, designers were in full gear showcasing the creative delights and trends that we'll be sporting later in the year for yet another chilly snap.

London has become a city of quirkiness, craftsmanship and the birthplace of street-style fashion. Buyers, journalists, stylists, bloggers alike gather to celebrate British talent and this season was no different.

The "woman" is very much present in the designs of A/W 15. There's little note of androgynous dressing but instead frocks, furs and decadence reign for the new season. Temperley continues to wow with playful pretty dresses that highlight femininity while Matthew Williamson goes back to his boho roots with maxi gowns in strong prints that had a subtle sexiness to them. Holly Fulton teamed coats with crystal trimmings while prints give flavour to simple designs (Jasper Conran for autumnal-hues, Erdem and Emilia Wickstead for pale palettes and Jonathan Saunders for the loud and bold).

Eveningwear ruled the catwalks of Julien Macdonald with jewel-toned designs in a strong gothic yet glamorous feel. Similarly Sass & Bide and David Koma gave metallics a new lease of life while Issa opted for classic reds and navy with asymmetric hems and fringing aplenty.

A host of trends has been born for all of us to enjoy regardless of age or shape. But one word of advice before clearing out the old to make room for the new is to keep hold of your shaggy oversized coat. They're as strong as ever and will remain a wardrobe must-have for yet another year round. Thank you Topshop Unique!

If there's ever a time to be proud to be a Londoner, this is it!
