Groom mates

articlemain

Most men have looked puzzlingly at their partner's multiple arrangement of beauty products and wondered why one person needs and uses so many bottles of lotions and potions. Although a slap of moisturiser and a spritz of cologne may be the only grooming routine he admits to, in the privacy of his own bathroom, he's secretly slathering as much as his partner — and probably stealing her products.

Recently, men have become more inclined to try a new grooming product. But the uncool label associated with pampering is yet to be broken. The lad persona he may want to project to his mates will be forever lost with the discussion of anything beauty related.

The men's grooming market has seen the fastest growth in a beauty sector than any other over the past decade.

Scent has always been popular amongst men, but five years ago, to mention exfoliators, facemasks and eye serums to any man would be to question sex. Now, however, men are welcoming new products, though mostly still in secret, but they're more open to trial than ever before. Beauty brands are taking note with new product innovation and clever branding that appeals to men, their skin and their egos!

Despite, what men may think, they are not immune to skin problems. Razor bumps, wrinkles, blackheads, sunburn, cracked lips and fine lines can and most probably will (if left untreated) all haunt men at some point. Though to be a man in a grooming aisle, with an overwhelming amount of choice is to be a man confused.

My advice is to begin with the basics and add on when you feel confident about what your skin needs. Invest in multi-purpose products if you're time-poor — especially if sharing a bathroom with your other half.
