Award-winning thriller screens in Manchester

    In new film Damascus Cover, Israeli spy, Ari Ben-Zion, haunted by the death of his son, is recalled to Jerusalem after a failed attempt to bring a mole back to Israel alive. His next assignment takes him to Syria, and into danger.

      Based on Howard Kaplan’s best-selling 1977 thriller, the movie stars Jonathan Rhys Meyers, and John Hurt in one of his last films

    Last year it won premiered at the  Boston Film Festival and won six awards .  It’s being screened at the Manchester Film Festival on  March 3 at the Great Northern Odeon, followed by a Q&A.
