Samantha Spiro returns to the West End

She joins an all-star cast for Lady Windermere's Fan

Samantha Spiro is to star in a new production of Lady Windermere's Fan to open in the West End next year. She is part of an all star cast, which also includes Jennifer Saunders as the Duchess of Berwick and comedian Kevin Bishop as Lord Darlington. Kathy Burke is to direct.

Spiro, who won an Olivier Award for her role in Merrily We Roll Along at the Donmar Warehouse, will play Mrs Erlynne. She has also starred in numerous TV series including Dr Who and Grandma's House, and plays ranging from Cleo, Camping, Emmanuelle and Dick at the National Theatre to Arnold Wesker's Chicken Soup with Barley at the Royal Court.

The play, which will be on at the Vaudeville Theatre, opens in January, and runs until April.
