Emmy Lopes collects objects, detritus, rubbish from the streets, beaches or environment and with them creates new art works, as part of her Plastic Prayer Flags project.

At a workshop at the Ben Uri Gallery on October 11, participants will have an opportunity to work with her to design, collage, fuse and sew individual flags made from recycled materials, exploring the theme of identity.
