Music and the arts, promoting healthy eating and facilitating multicultural programmes on campus are among new categories for the latest WIZO Commitment Awards, launched at the official residence of Israeli ambassador Mark Regev this week.

WIZO was praised by Ambassador Regev for “shaping the vision of the Jewish national home”.

The awards, open to people of all faiths, recognise social activism and winners are offered a tour of Israel.

Categories include Commitment to Inspiring the Next Generation of Scientists and High-Tech Professionals, Commitment to Inspiring Women, Commitment to Multiculturalism on Campus, and many more.

A full list of the categories and criteria can be obtained here.

Philanthropist David Dangoor said the charity exhibited a “deep love for the Jewish people and humanity” through its welfare projects in Israel.
