Torah scrolls stolen from home of rabbis

articlemain

Two Torah scrolls have been stolen from the home of a Reform movement rabbinical couple.

The scrolls were in a metal cabinet taken during a burglary at the property of rabbis Jackie and Lawrence Tabick. They belong to the Shir Hayim Reform community in West Hampstead.

The Tabicks fear that the thieves - "disappointed" at discovering the contents of the cabinet - will have thrown the sifrei Torah away

They are urging anyone with information to call the police on 101.
