Girls' haircuts raise vital charity cash

articlemain

Close friends and Sacks Morasha Primary pupils Sophia Shababo and Sophie Lunzer have raised more than £2,000 for Chai Cancer Care by having their long locks trimmed.

The girls also donated the hair to the Zichron Menachem charity, which provides wigs for children who have lost their hair during cancer treatment.

“We chose Chai because a lot of people will know someone who will need the wonderful support of the Chai Cancer Care teams,” the 10-year-olds said. “We want to help make that happen to its maximum potential.”
