Pesach chametz collections in Barnet

articlemain

Barnet Council is once again providing a Pesach collection service, enabling residents to dispose of chametz before the start of the festival.

Collections will take place in designated roads on March 24 and 25 and residents are asked to place food waste into black plastic sacks or their black domestic waste container.

Cabinet member for the environment Councillor Dean Cohen said: “We know our Jewish residents will appreciate the convenience of having their Pesach waste collected. Those who do not live in one of the selected streets can contact the council to arrange a free collection.”

Residents can call 020 8359 4600 from March 15 to find out which streets are on the collection list.
