Networking events for women are a great way to further their careers and advance their skill set, according to Anthea Jackson, ORT UK, business development and community outreach manager.

She was speaking at the charity’s Professional Women’s Network event, in central London, on Wednesday, where Deon Newbronner, the entrepreneur and author, was the guest speaker.

Ms Jackson said: “ORT has always been committed to enabling people to be upskilled and supported in their future or current careers.

“The professional women’s network is yet another example of this as is our mentoring programme for students in year 12 and our many technology and vocational training programmes in Israel, the former Soviet Union, South America and beyond.”

Over 150 women have attended a series of events put on by the British arm of the largest Jewish education.

Sara Goldman, attended the event and works for Haematology Cancer Care, said: “It’s so refreshing to have the space for women to network with and learn from each other as well as learning about the remarkable work that ORT does around the world.”

Sara Kyte, recruitment worker from Kyte Lester Appointments said networking events provided her with “a valuable opportunity to meet interesting people from all industry sectors.

“The speakers offer cross industry insight and a useful opportunity to keep my broad industry knowledge up to date.”
