Missing Barnet man found by Shomrim

articlemain

A Barnet police inspector has praised volunteers from the Shomrim community security group for finding an elderly man who went missing late at night.

The 84-year-old, who has Alzheimer’s, disappeared from his home in the Hendon area in freezing temperatures last Thursday evening.

Shomrim was alerted by the man’s family and arranged for volunteers to comb the area.

Inspector Jane Lee said the missing man was found quickly and returned home.
“This was obviously a massive relief,” she said.
“I am very grateful for what they did.”
