Menorah gets glowing report from inspectors

articlemain

Ofsted inspectors have given a glowing report to the Menorah Foundation School in Golders Green.

The inspectors found that the school was well led by head Clare Neuberger, her staff and the primary’s governors. Pupils regularly achieved above-average standards, particularly in maths and English — “the result of good teaching and well-planned lessons”.

They were also impressed by the respect shown between pupils, their determination to succeed and willingness to accept responsibility. “Year six pupils leave the school well-prepared for their future life and learning.”

As well as a high standard of National Curriculum education, Menorah prides itself on excellence in Jewish studies, to which half its school time is devoted. The school has also been commended in a separate Jewish studies inspection which found “outstanding Jewish education through a comprehensive curriculum” taught by Rabbi Yitzchok Macmull and his team. Teaching was enthusiastic and lessons well prepared.
