MDA chief executive retires

Eli Benson has stepped down as Magen David Adom UK chief executive, having helped to raise more than $50 million for the charity.

MDA UK chair Henry Ejdelbaum said that Mr Benson’s efforts had “saved thousands of lives in Israel”. Mr Benson will maintain an involvement in his new role of vice-president. At a retirement reception, he looked back on “a tremendous 14 years”. He is succeeded by Daniel Burger, the deputy CEO for the past 18 months.
