Legacy of bomb victim

articlemain

The brother of Yoni Jesner, the British student killed in a suicide bombing in Israel seven years ago, was among the speakers at an educational evening in Yoni’s memory at the BA headquarters in Temple Fortune.

Ari Jesner recalled Yoni’s involvement in Bnei Akiva and his passion for leadership and making a difference in the community. Rabbi Chaim Rapoport and Rabbi David Mason also spoke. Topics included the meaning of Succot and relationships between Jews and the outside world. The latter was particularly appropriate as Yoni had intended to train as a doctor and had helped save the life of a Palestinian girl through the donation of his organs.
