Housing chief steps down

articlemain

jLiving (Jewish Community Housing Association) chief executive Sara Clarke will step down in the summer after 21 years in the post.

Ms Clarke played a key role in the 1997 merger between the JBG and B'nai B'rith housing societies to create the present organisation, one of the largest UK housing associations working primarily with the Jewish community.

She is also proud of jLiving's increasing partnership projects with other communal organisations - most recently Kisharon and Jewish Women's Aid - and of the association's new flats at Wolfson Court, Golders Green, which will be completed next month.

She will continue to assist jLiving on a part-time consultancy basis while her successor is recruited.

Ms Clarke said she had been fortunate "to work with an exceptional group of people who are incredibly supportive and dedicated to our tenants".
