Hasmonean pre-nursery impresses on inspection

Staff are 'excellent models' and children make good progress

Hasmonean Primary’s pre-nursery has earned a good rating from Ofsted with the behaviour, welfare and development of children considered outstanding.

The pre-nursery offered a “calm and nurturing learning environment” for children who made good progress, the inspector found.

Staff were “excellent role models for children” and enjoyed a strong partnership with parents.

“Children use their imagination well,” Ofsted reported. “For example, they create colourful collages of pictures and keenly share their thoughts about what they have made.”

They also developed a “superb knowledge” of personal hygiene.

Dan Sacker, Hasmonean Primary’s governors’ chair, said the “decision to both expand and extend our pre-nursery has been a huge success. We are delighted and very proud of this result.”
