Photo gallery: Mitzvah Day 2017

An estimated 25,000 people throughout the UK (and another 15,000 overseas) took part in Mitzvah Day events. There were more than 1,200 UK activities and 100 specifically interfaith projects. We've collected just some of the events here

Children, parents, grandparents and even great-grandparents participated together in Mitzvah Day 2017, reflecting the inter-generational theme of this year’s programme.

Chief Rabbi Ephraim Mirvis, who sorted clothes for a homeless shelter with other faith leaders, said: : “Mitzvah Day promotes one of the core values and priorities of our Jewish community in a most extraordinary way. The energy, compassion and kindness with which thousands of people on Mitzvah Day give of their time for countless worthy activities never fails to inspire me.”
