'The Queen' gives acting class to pupils

articlemain

Nancy Reuben Primary pupils had a “royal” visit from award-winning actress Claire Foy, who plays the Queen in Netflix series The Crown.

Ms Foy, a friend of one of the Hendon school’s governors, answered questions from the children and led an acting masterclass.

Anthony Wolfson, the NRPS head, said the visit had been “amazing” for pupils, giving them an “informative insight into her working day”.

She took questions on topics from her educational background to her acting inspirations.

Her acting workshop for year five students involved assisting them to work on a script and honing skills such as voice projection.

Mr Wolfson said Ms Foy advised the children to “not only have a go at acting and drama but also to read lots and go on adventures.” Pupil Claudia Bishop said it had been “a great experience as it was the first time I met a famous actress”.

Zara Donoff said she “enjoyed asking Claire some questions — and getting her to autograph a picture of her as the Queen”.
