Young film - maker Ian Dingle has made a short documentary about the life of his 99-year-old great - great aunt Lotte Passer, who escaped Berlin before the war.

In the film, Ms Passer speaks about her travels around Europe and why she decided to remain in England. She eventually brought family members over to join her.

Mr Dingle, 24, from Bethnal Green, said: "My family took Lotte in when she first came to England and we have a very strong connection. She has a love of music and was my sponsor at Guildhall School of Music."
