articlemain

Students at King Solomon High School commemorated Holocaust Memorial Day by holding an educational seminar in partnership with other Redbridge-based schools.

The event was attended by 150 year 12 students from KS, Beal High, the Forest Academy, Wanstead High, Woodford County High, Ilford Country High, Trinity Catholic High and Valentines High.

Holocaust survivor Lady Zahava Kohn, 77, told students about her wartime childhood growing up in the Netherlands. She was liberated from Bergen-Belsen and reunited with her family after the war.
