Hearing impaired asked to assist research project

articlemain

British Jews with hearing impairment are being invited to assist research by the Action on Hearing Loss charity.

The charity wants people to participate in focus group interviews and online surveys geared to improving understanding of how deafness affects those from ethnic minorities.

Action on Hearing Loss research director Roger Wicks said : “There is little research about the impact of deafness, hearing loss and tinnitus in the lives of people from the UK’s diverse ethnic minority and cultural backgrounds. Our new research panel is a great opportunity for people from Britain’s Jewish community to help shape our future work by highlighting the vital issues affecting their everyday lives.”

Interested individuals can complete this online survey http://svy.mk/researchpanel or email panel@hearingloss.org.uk to take part in a focus group interview.
