Insulate a home and earn £100 from energy firms

articlemain

Energy providers all have "Carbon Emission Reduction Targets" aimed at tough-to-reach groups, which means if they don't pump the cash out they get big fines.

Up to £300-worth of cavity wall and loft insulation is being doled out by energy companies - both Eon and Tesco do it even if you are not their customer. Anyone can apply but you do need a suitable property and with Eon you will also need to receive certain income-related benefits.

British Gas is offering £50 if you refer an elderly person on pension credit, or anyone else on qualifying benefits, to get free insulation. They must call 0800 975 1195.

Tesco is giving 10,000 points to anyone on qualifying benefits getting insulation and Eon is offering £100 cash. See www.moneysavingexpert.com/utilities/free-cavity-loft-insulation.
