Exclusive clip: The Coen brothers 'A Serious Man'

By Jessica Elgot, October 26, 2009

The Jewish Chronicle has an exclusive clip from the new Coen brothers movie, which will have its UK gala screening at the UK Jewish Film Festival.

A Serious Man, the latest release from Joel and Ethan Coen (Burn After Reading, No Country for Old Men ) has a distinctly hamishe flavour.

The story stars Larry Gopnik (Michael Stuhlbarg), a physics professor at a quiet Midwestern university, whose wife Judith (Sari Lennick) is leaving him for one of his more pompous colleagues, Sy Ableman (Fred Melamed).

Larry’s unemployable brother Arthur (Richard Kind) is sleeping on the couch, his son Danny (Aaron Wolf) is a shirker at chedar, and his daughter Sarah (Jessica McManus) is saving up for a nose job.

The film will be released on November 20.
