Board of Deputies launches video to recruit young people

The Board of Deputies has launched a video via Twitter in a bid to get young British Jews to join the organisation.

The three-minute “Why Be A Deputy” film, made by videographer Josh Newman, encourages people to stand in the Board’s elections in May.

WATCH: Rhinos escape Israel zoo as guard sleeps

Three female rhinos escaped from Israel’s safari zoo after a security guard fell asleep on the job.

The rhinos – named Rihanna, Keren Peles and Karnabella – made a run for it via the side gate at the zoo in Tel Aviv.

CCTV footage shows the rhinos making their escape before being chased by the guard. He was later fired.


David Cameron's Chanucah reception

Safe on the streets?

Journalist Jake Wallis Simons filmed himself walking around London in order to discover if the streets were still safe for Jews in the wake of rising anti-Semitism. In a report for the Telegraph he said: "Many of my Jewish friends are beginning to feel that way.
