I am a 69 year old US citizen, who is proud of the ideals on which my country was founded, but ashamed of its history of racial sins against both the Native Americans and the African Americans and deeply concerned about the sins of the outgoing administration of my own country against its own citizens and against many other peoples and nations. I am very thankful for the election of a new US leader with a good record of listening to people, particularly when compared to the alternative. I reserve the right to express honest opinions about the conduct and the relationships of my country, including any conduct which it may be influencing or enabling other countries to carry out.
