I thought I would write a little about chicken soup.
I have recently had a very bad cold and of course being a Jewish mother and a Jewish daughter I have grown up on the chicken soup myth. And do you know every time I get sick somebody says "let's make you some chicken soup".
In the wonderful quagmire of social networking sites, a menagerie of organisations, companies and protest groups intermingle with peace activists,anti-racists and of course racists.
Twitter is a great example of how you can easily talk to a “white” extremist clan member (mistakenly)one day, and a member of parliament the other.
Lord Haw-Haw was the nickname of several announcers on the English-language propaganda radio programme Germany Calling, broadcast by Nazi German radio to audiences in Great Britain on the medium wave station Reichssender Hamburg and by shortwave to the United States. The programme started on 18 September 1939 and continued until 30 April 1945, when Hamburg was overrun by the British Army.

I will make this blog short, as I am not sure what to say, and I am sure I am not alone.
Sometimes I feel like I am living in the "twilight zone", or living in some parallel universe where people that do bad things get all the praise and those that are good are punished.
It took me some time to think about how I would write this blog entry. I wrote it a few times and deleted it, but I felt that it had to be written, not only because I have fallen victim to this, but mainly to really expose what seems to have become the norm both in society, but more importantly, within certain parts of our media.
As a Eurovision fan, and I mean having watched since I can remember, I heard this week that the entry for Turkey comes from a Jewish family.
This might be just because of a good song, or a very clever move on the part of Turkey to somehow build bridges? Somehow I don't think so, but its a good story.
Tel Aviv has been named the Best Gay City of 2011 in an international American Airlines competition selecting the most popular destinations among LGTB tourists via Ynetnews.com http://www.ynetnews.com/articles/0,7340,L-4174274,00.html
This would come to no surprise from those who have regularly visited TLV and know what a fantastic, vibrant and popular city this is.
I read this morning that the the memorial site of Auschwitz-Birkenau "saw more than 1.4 million visitors in 2011, a record high for the former death camp. " via Ynetnews.com
I have been on twitter for 3 whole years. That is important, because I like to call myself a veteran of twitter.
It was at the end of 2008. I was at the time, bored of chat programmes, and wanted something to use that would express my political feelings on Israel.
2012, and now everyone and their families are on twitter.
