Israel’s Wall that will not be taken away

By amitai.alex, April 19, 2010

Last week the British Advertising Standards Agency decided that the Israeli Government Tourism office could not use a picture of the Western wall with the Dome of the Rock in the background in its advertising. As the Wall is in East Jerusalem and therefore considered by the international community to be occupied territory and that it somehow would imply that occupied East Jerusalem is part of Israel.

The BNP and Ethnicity

By amitai.alex, April 14, 2010

Leader of the British National Party Nick Griffin recently made some new statements of rebranding the policies of the BNP to the British Public in their European election manifesto.

Supporting Israel

By amitai.alex, April 14, 2010

The End of Blind Support – Towards a New Form of Israel Advocacy.

By amitai.alex, April 14, 2010

“Being critical of Israeli policy is perfectly legitimate and not anti-Semitic. I myself am a critic of Israel. I didn’t agree with Oslo, Camp David, Taba, The Road Map, Annapolis, the disengagement from Gaza, the withdrawal from Sinai, the Peace treaty with Jordan and think that we should have done more in the Second Lebanon war and in Operation Cast lead.”

Being critical of Israel has been something, which at times has led to what I can only describe as some very naïve and ignorant, ardent supporters of Israel calling me a self-hating Jew.

Where Palestinian Propagandists Went Wrong

By amitai.alex, April 14, 2010

During Operation Cast Lead in the beginning of 2009 I received a few emails forwarded to me from an old Muslim friend from university in protest of the Israeli assault on the Gaza strip. I was in Israel at the time as I had just made Aliyah in Jerusalem where it was completely quiet; you wouldn’t have known that there was a war going on at all.
