Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu on Thursday took to task the countries of the world that had sat silently and listened the day before to Holocaust-denier Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, asking them, "Have you no shame, no decency?"
To those who boycotted Ahmadinejad's speech, or left in protest, Netanyahu said, "I commend you, you stood up for moral clarity.

The Big Question

The BBC 1 show 'Big Questions', recently held a very broad debate on the following quetion: Is Israel a racist state or a nation under threat. I bet you can all guess what part of that question took the majority, no sorry - all, of the air time. This though didn't bother me. Nor did the fact that the hapless audience (filled with the usual JFJFP suspects) applauded loudly and veremently every time strongly anti-Israel sentiment was used. In fact, the end comment by the pro-Israel rabbi that the 'occupation' should end didn't even bother me.

Israel: The double standard

So here we are once again. Once again British unions are attempting to boycott Israeli goods creating what can only be described as a de facto boycott on Israelis in general. This comes at a heightened time of anti-Semitism (not Just in Europe and Arabia but across the world) following the anti-Israel bias that so many media outlets adopted throughout the recent Israeli war against Hamas in Gaza. However, this time the anti-Israel disease has spread.

I should really be asleep now, but I can't help, having watched for nearly two weeks the appalling and heart breaking situation in Gaza and Israel slip away without writing down how I feel. Whilst in the passage below I have not addressed this particular conflict in much detail, I think that the real tragedy in this conflict isn't its complexity, rather its simplicity.

Time for the Truth

I was motivated to write this piece after joining a group on the internet site ‘Facebook’, called ‘Facebook: Delete the group, ‘Israel is not a country’’. Aside from the aim of this group, I found it most satisfying to see thousands of others writing posts on discussion forums about what really happened in 1948. It re-assured me that I am not the only one in GB who understands the real events that occurred from 1900-1948 and then to the modern era. As they all basically say: Israel displaced no-one.
