Ben Johnson was the hero for Broughton as the basement boys finally gained their first win of the MJSL season.

Broughton had failed to secure victory in any of their 17 league games before sneaking past Crumpsall 1-0 to gain three priceless points.

Sydney Fulda’s men are three points behind Leeds Maccabi 3rd, who held Republic of Mancunia 1st to a 2-2 draw.

Rovers face Republic of Mancunia 1st at Salford FC on Thursday night in the final of the Shonn Trophy with Domb’s men desperate to finish a frustrating season on a high.

The Shrews sealed promotion following last weekend's 1-0 win over Dagenham & Redbridge.

And defender Jacobson insists his current team are more than capable of making the step up following a nine-year exile in the bottom tier.

Steve Bentwood heaped praise on his young guns after Manchester Maccabi 3rd denied Oakhill Lions a third consecutive Feldman Trophy triumph.

Jake Kelly scored twice in the first half at Salford FC as Bentwood’s boys overcame their opponents and the monsoon-like conditions to lift the cup.

Haroldeans in seventh heaven after title glory

Haroldeans boss Ivan Gee believes his side are primed to dominate the MJSL for years to come following their title triumph.

The Mereysiders thrashed Crumpsall 7-0 to secure the league crown after making it 16 victories from their 19 games.

Christian Cabral and Jamie Harris both scored twice, while Bobby Abrams, Ali Goldsmith and Josh Silverberg completed the rout.

Manchester Maccabi 3rd brought the curtain down on their league season by edging out Republic of Mancunia 1st in a nine-goal thriller.

Jake Kelly bagged a hat-trick for the hosts with Jake Berger and Daniel Rubinstein also on target in the 5-4 win.

Daniel Batton grabbed a double with Mike Gastwirth and Ben Blackston amongst the goals for Republic.

Manchester Maccabi boss Stuart Delmonte reckons his side’s defeat by league leaders Windmill Failsworth was a ‘travesty of justice’.

Maccabi dominated the contest and could have had the game wrapped up before half-time, but for some wayward finishing and inspired goalkeeping.

Josh Bor wrote himself into Broughton folklore after firing the MJSL basement boys to their first victory of the season in the Tony Cohen Memorial Cup.

Sydney Fulda’s men pulled off a convincing 3-0 win over Leeds Maccabi 3rd to clinch their place in the semi-finals of the competition.

Bor opened the scoring for the home side before Osher Landes doubled Broughton’s advantage.

Curtis Bitton-Price climbed off the bench to keep Leeds Maccabi 1st’s faint title hopes alive after scoring a spectacular equaliser.

The midfielder, who was suffering with injury, played through the pain barrier and came up trumps after his unstoppable 40-yard effort claimed a point for Maccabi.
