Arab Lies and the Naqba

By Advis3r, June 9, 2011

Today is not Shavuot in Israel - hence this post

Lenny Ben-David on his blog gives some interesting background to a report written by Robert Kennedy when he was in Palestine before the establishment of the State of Israel. (see http://www.israelnationalnews.com/News/News.aspx/144810)

OUR HERITAGE

By Advis3r, June 7, 2011

This is quite a fitting story via the Joe Settler blog on the eve of the festival of Shavuot.
One of Gidon Sar’s goals during his term as Minister of Education is to return to the education system parts of it that were uprooted by former holders of this important position for example Yuli Tamir. Specifically those parts related to basic Judaism.

Otiose is as otiose does

By Advis3r, June 5, 2011

The feckless blogger who goes under the name of JonOtway continues his blood libels against the State of Israel which it appears the JC feels comfortable in allowing to be posted.
This time he quotes the biased BBC itself quoting Syrian State television as if it was a reliable and independent news source.

Hamas not pleased with the Egyptians

By Advis3r, June 1, 2011

The Rafiah crossing may have been opened by Egypt but they are taking no chances with Hamas - obviously they are well aware of what it is capable of - perhaps now people will understand Israel's position after all the Hamas charter does not call for the killing of Egyptians as it does for Jews and yet Egypt is making sure it controls who comes in and who goes out and it has not allowed the commerc

In London today Apple Inc (APPL:NYSE) announced the release of the new retinal and iris scanning application for the iPhone4.

Armbach in la la land

By Advis3r, May 30, 2011

I see because it dos not say "the" when it was never supposed to say "the" means it was badly drafted. Butthe evidence is all aginst you. It says what it does and in the official English the word "the" is not to be found and in fact no one (except the lunatic fringe) expects Israel to withdraw to the 1949 Armistice lines - you will just have to live with it in la la land.

Boycott Scottish Whisky

By Advis3r, May 28, 2011

Two and a half years ago, shortly after Operation Cast Lead, the West Dunbartonshire Regional Council, located west of Glasgow, approved a resolution that called to boycott goods produced in Israel. According to the law, the council and all public bodies under its jurisdiction are forbidden to sell goods that originated from Israel note not just goods produced in the settlements.

Too little too late?

By Advis3r, May 27, 2011

As reported by the Jerusalem Post.

An international group of some 60 attorneys, including former Foreign Ministry legal adviser Alan Baker, has appealed to United Nations Secretary General Ban Ki-moon to prevent a General Assembly resolution on unilateral Palestinian statehood, based on the pre-1967 lines.

The 1967 Lines

This is a very thoughtful exposition on what is meant by the 1967 lines.

Otway should overcome his ADHD and read it. He will probably find much with which he can agree.

Millis should note that the author says this:

Opening the Gaza Crossing? Well not exactly

By Advis3r, May 26, 2011

The news that Egypt is opening up the Rafah crossing permanently starting on Saturday is met with glee by Otway but maybe he should have looked at the small print.

According to the Hamastan Palestine Times newspaper, there are still restrictions on who could cross the border.

Women and children under 18 are allowed to cross without prior coordination with Egypt.
