"Expose"

Does telegramsam work for the JC?

Could telegramsam be one of the journalists in Furnival Street who's job it is to "play devils advocate" and try to keep the various debates alive by posting spurious left-wing drivel in the knowledge that it will upset readers and provoke a response? The JC's aim is to boost blogg numbers and internet activity for the web site. This could be a way to achieve that aim? On the other hand...........

You can no longer take anything he says seriously, (not that you did anyway).

Flotilla takes the wrong route - ends up in Greece

By Jon_i_Cohen, November 12, 2010

A small group of foreign activists who had hoped to break Israel's naval blockade on Hamas are instead heading for Greece. The activists, along with several Libyans, were trapped aboard the ship they had hoped to take to Gaza as the captain set sail for Greece instead.

The Greek captain of the Strofades IV left Libya without permission on Thursday following a lengthy dispute with the foreign Road to Hope activists over payment. Road to Hope organizers reported that the captain was planning to drop the activists off in Greece.

Interesting report in todays JC, so when Argentina re - invades the Falklands, (as they surely will).

Following the UK governments spending cuts, with the de-commissioning of its Harrier Jump Jets and The Ark Royal, the UK could not mount a campaign to re-take the Islands as it did in 1982.

Guess who they'll be coming to ask for help?

Jordan IS Palestine - Says Jordan

By Jon_i_Cohen, November 8, 2010

Finally, commonsense and acceptance of the reality start to prevail. As reported in Israel today.

Anger at Israel expressed this week during Jordan's parliamentary election campaign stems from the fear that the Hashemite Kingdom may be forced to accept back the Palestinian Arabs that came under Israel's sovereignty following the 1967 Six Day War.

The Stupidity Of Democracy

By Jon_i_Cohen, November 5, 2010

Radical Muslim cleric Abu Hamza has won his appeal against government attempts to strip him of his British passport.

A Special Immigration Appeals Commission (Siac) upheld his appeal in a 12-page ruling.

The preacher had said he would be left "stateless" as he had already lost his Egyptian citizenship.

A Downing Street spokeswoman said David Cameron was "disappointed" but it would not affect ongoing extradition proceedings.

Hamza, 52, was jailed for seven years in February 2006 for inciting murder and race hate.

Nigeria Stops Weapons Shipment from Iran

By Jon_i_Cohen, November 5, 2010

No, this one is not a Nigerian scam.

A weapons cache containing artillery rockets seized by Nigerian security agents at the West African nation's busiest port originally came from Iran, the Associated Press reported Saturday.

Iran has previously transported weapons to Gaza through Africa.

Israeli officials accused Iran of trying to sneak the shipment into the Hamas-controlled Gaza Strip. By unloading the weapons in Nigeria, Iran likely sought to truck the weapons through Africa to slide around an embargo now in place in Gaza.

Today's Cultural Icon -"The SHJ"

Excellent article in this weeks JC by David Herman.
Once again highlighting this truly disturbing phenomenon, "The self hating Jew". With the award winning Howard Jacobson's novel "The Finkler Question" being one of the most talked about books of the moment, the "shj" is once again in the spotlight.
As Herman points put recent Jewish History is littered with the "SHJ", but today the problem is more serious today.

More BDS, This Time From UNESCO

By Jon_i_Cohen, October 31, 2010

The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) voted recently to officially declare Rachel's Tomb to be a mosque. UNESCO director Irena Bokova had previously stated “concern” at Israel's decision to treat the tomb as a heritage site.

The vote called for Rachel's Tomb and the Tomb of the Patriarchs – the burial site of the other Biblical Patriarchs and Matriarchs – to be removed from Israel's National Heritage list.

The Legacy Of Rabin

15 years on we remember the murder of Yitzchak Rabin. I remember the day very clearly, being at a family simcha, somone came in with the news, the TV went on and everyone crowded round in disbelief.

What we should remember today is that whilst being the "darling of the left" Rabin strongly opposed a Palestinian state in Judea and Samaria and generally took a relatively hawkish stance within the Labor Party.
