Lions thrown out of Morrison Trophy

Maccabi London Lions A have been thrown out of the Peter Morrison Trophy after the club admitted playing an ineligible player in their semi-final win over North London Raiders.

The National Football Committee released a statement confirming the decision after hearing Lions' appeal on Thursday night.

Grant stars at regionals

Ellie Grant won four golds and a silver at the London Regional Championships at The LAC.

Grant, who was Team GB’s most successful performer at the European Maccabi Games in Berlin last summer, won the 50m, 100m and 200m breaststroke as well as the 200m individual medley.

The Redbridge swimmer is looking forward to competing for GB at the World Games next year.
