Summerfield helps LMV U11s make it two out of two

An excellent knock from Zac Summerfield helped London Maccabi Vale Under 11s win their second game in a row as they overcame Mill Hill Village by seven wickets.

Captain Alex Davidson decision to bowl first was rewarded as Benjamin Jayes (3-20) and Joseph Bentley claiming five wickets between them.

LMV U15s ease to nine-wicket win

London Maccabi Vale Under 15s claimed an emphatic nine-wicket victory over Mill Hill Village.

The wickets in the Village innings were shared between four bowlers. Simeon Cohen led the way with figures of 3-2 from four excellent overs. Joe Nyman and David Schogger grabbed two apiece, with Joshua Frey taking the other.

Kiwi star praises LMV U15s

James Marshall, the New Zealand test and one-day player, praised London Maccabi Vale Under 15s who maintained their perfect start to the season with a 46-run victory over Totteridge Millhillians.

Joe Nyman top-scored with an 34 as LMV accumulated 114-3 from their 20 overs. There were useful contributions from Akiva Fink, Sam Ellard and Simeon Cohen, who finished unbeaten on 19.

Run by chairman Sefton Monk, the team is aiming to push for promotion in their first season.

Dan Lee (Redbridge Jewish Care A) - the MSFL is blessed with several fine young keepers. Lee helped Redbridge complete a league and cup double. During a busy season, he also played for London Lions and the JC MSFL Rep Team. The owner of a monster kick, he was a big part of RJC's double dream.

HMH boys do it for Grazioli

Strikes from Jake Norton, Aaron Benjamin, George Goldberg and Josh Dreyfuss secured the Under 14 Harris Balcomb Trophy as Highgate & Muswell Hill overcame Manchester Maccabi 4-1 at Boundary Park.

The Londoners forged ahead only to be pegged back at the break. The second half was a different story as they upped their game, scoring three times and hitting the woodwork.

AC Whetstone complete league and cup double

AC Whetstone Under 14s secured the league and cup double following a hard-fought win over Hendon in the final played at Wingate and Finchley.

Having already clinched the Maccabi league title with a 100 per cent record, the Stones began very strongly and had the first meaningful effort on target through Toby Nathan. They continued to press hard but were repelled by a resolute Hendon defence.

Winston happy with EMG draw

Ben Winston, Maccabi GB's Open Football manager, says that he is happy with the team's draw for the European Maccabi Games in Vienna.

Runners-up at the 2009 Maccabiah Games, GB will line up against Austria, Belgium, Switzerland and Mexico in a group of five.

The Netherlands, France, Holland and Hungary are in Group B. Holders Denmark are not sending a delegation.

Lions Under 15 clinch WFL crown

London Maccabi Lions Under 15's became the first Jewish side ever to win the top division of the Watford Friendly League.

The team, which contains many of the participants for this summer's European Maccabi Games, lost the first two games of their first season in the top division, but then embarked on a remarkable run which saw them remain undefeated in 12 league games.

Belmont & Edgware went down to a 93-run defeat against LCR in a friendly at Parmiters.

BECC bowled well early on with Warren Averbuch dismissing the opening batsmen. LCR pushed on with their innings and were 85-2 at the drinks interval.

Emanuel takes charge at Montana

Montana Boca United have appointed Vivian Emanuel as their new manager for next season.

The club operated under chairman Raymond Harrod who along with Adam Osper, worked as caretaker-managers following the departure of Marc Ziedman. They finished sixth in Division One last season.

Emmanuel joins the club following a stint at Pinner JFC in Division Four.
