Oli Joseph and Benjy Gourgey were the goal men as Neasden C edged past Division Three champions Glenthorne B to set up a final against UJIA at Wingate & Finchley on April 22.

Top-scorer and joint-player-manager Craig Sandford netted for Glenthorne.

JC MSFL Matchday 30 review

UJIA will meet Neasden C in this season's Barry Goldstein Trophy final after winning their respective semi-finals, while in the league, Lions A's winning run was halted by Redbridge. Hendon A edged closer to the title while Lions B beat newly-crowned Division Two champions Hendon B. Elsewhere, Shirley Park clinched promotion from Division Three. Mark Landau and Jack Peet will spearhead the Team GB junior cricket squad as they target medals at the 19th Maccabiah Games.

Landau and Peet are both ECB qualified coaches and have plenty of experience working with this age group.

Team GB co-cricket chairman Jonathan Lederman said: “We are delighted to have found two such enthusiastic and experienced managers.

Klinger to join Worcestershire

Michael Klinger will join Worcestershire for the first few weeks of the county cricket season.

The South Australia captain will stand in for compatriot Phil Hughes who has been delayed until late May through international commitments.

Klinger, 31, has an average of over 50 in 72 first-class innings for the state. He recently scored the third double century of his career against Tasmania.

A time for reflection for us all

It’s been a tough week for so many people. Truth be told, I almost fell out of love with football over the incident involving Bolton’s Fabrice Muamba. It really hit me for six and I’ve been feeling flat all week.

As if that wasn’t bad enough, events in Toulouse put me at rock bottom. I can’t imagine how the families must be feeling. My heart goes out to them.

‘Mr Basketball’ counters those who take shots at Israel

Tal Brody could have been drafted into the NBA but turned that down to help change the landscape of Israeli sport. In playing for the Maccabi Tel Aviv basketball team, his presence in Israel also led the way for more Jewish American basketball stars to come and play in Israel. Amongst them were Barry Leibowitz from Long Island University and Lou Silver from Harvard.
