JCC Maccabi Games Kit Launch

Young athletes from Team Maccabi GB collected their kits in the official unveiling and presentation ahead of the JCC Maccabi Games at Chery Hill this summer.

Maccabi GB is taking a delegation of 85 representatives to America. They be overseen by Brian and Helena Green as Heads of Delegation.

Indeed young Noah punched well above his weight at SW19, overcoming all the odds to win the big prize in the Junior competition. He was just ace.

Ben Haim joins Charlton

Tal Ben Haim has returned to England after joining Charlton Athletic.

The experienced Israeli international defender agreed a one-year deal with the Championship side, managed by Bob Pieters.

Ben Haim, 32, has also played for Bolton, Chelsea, Portsmouth, Manchester City, Sunderland, West Ham and QPR.

Charlton start their league campaign at Brentford on August 9.

Adam makes a big splash

Adam Warner took bronze at the German Open Water finals.

Warner finished third in his age group in the 5K, crossing the line in 60 minutes. He had to settle for 19th place in the 10k in a time of two hours.

"As expected, the race was very tough," said Warner.

Rampant Rubin seals Wimbledon junior title

Noah Rubin was crowned Junior Boys Singles champion at Wimbledon on Sunday.

The American concluded a memorable run with a thrilling victory over sixth seeded Stefan Kozlov in the final on Court 1.

Rubin ran out 6-4, 4-6, 6-3 victor against his countryman before embracing his father in the crowd in a contest that lasted more than two hours.

Jacobson joins Wycombe

Joe Jacobson has signed for Wycombe Wanderers on a two-year deal.

The former Wales under-21 captain was released by Shrewsbury Town at the end of last season following relegation from League One.

Jacobson, 27, enjoyed an excellent season on a personal front - playing 43 matches and scoring four goals, as well as being named Supporters' Player of the Year.

Giorgi ousted by Riske

Camila Giorgi missed out on a meeting with Maria Sharapova as she was beaten by Alison Riske in round two.

The Italian suffered a crucial break in the first set as she went down 7-5 in 52 minutes.

Riske stepped up a gear in the second set which she won 6-2 in 32 minutes.

Giorgi served three aces as well as seven double faults, while a total of 21 unforced errors halted her progress.

Glushko, Peer and Sela ousted at Wimbledon

Julia Glushko and Shahar Peer bowed out in the first round of the Ladies Singles at Wimbledon on Tuesday.

Competing in the main draw for the first time, Glushko was ultimately outclassed by last year's runner-up Sabine Lisicki.

The Israeli went down 6-2, 6-1 in just under an hour on Centre Court.

Good draw for Maccabi Tel Aviv

Maccabi Tel-Aviv will face minnows FC Santa Coloma or FC Banants in the second qualifying round of the 2014/15 Champions League.

The Israeli champions will be expected to overcome their Armenian opponents and book their place in the third qualifying round. The first leg is scheduled for July 15/16, with the return taking place on July 22/23.
