Closing down free speech

http://www.israelnationalnews.com/News/News.aspx/153372

As part of the initiative to improve Israel’s image on college campuses, the pro-Israel advocacy group Stand With Us (SWU) brought two Israelis to the University of California-Davis on Thursday night, in an event sponsored by Chabad.

An Israeli soldier named ‘Ran’ and a Druse woman named ‘Ranya’ came to the university hoping to provide a balanced, accurate portrayal of Israeli actions and policies. However, Ran and Ranya did not get very far before they were confronted by an extremely hostile and viciously anti-Israel crowd, who sought to dispel the event, altogether.

“By the time the talk was scheduled to begin, approximately 125 students and community members had swarmed into the lecture hall-filing the room to ‘over capacity’-meaning that at least 20 students had to stand against the side and back walls of the room," the popular blog israelstreet.org stated.

At least half of the 125 attendees were clearly identifiable as ‘pro-Palestinian’ students, as they were wearing kaffiyehs and Free Gaza T-shirts and waving ‘Palestinian’ flags, and other paraphernalia.

As soon as Ran mentioned the word “Israel,” approximately 40 of the ‘Palestinian supporters who were seated, stood up and walked out.

Others started yelling, “How many woman have you raped? How many children have you raped? You are a child molester.”

“The heckling continued unabated for the next 15 minutes. The speaker did his best to continue, but it was impossible to hear what he was saying, said israelstreet.org.

The police standing by did nothing to intervene and stated, “we have been instructed by our supervisor not to stop hecklers, and if you try to stop the hecklers, we have been instructed to close down the program.”

“Then the question and answer period started and quickly devolved into accusation of Israeli soldiers killing Palestinian babies and civilians (met with shouts of approval and load applause from the crowds),” the blog continued to state. “It wasn’t long before the moderator judged that the students were so disrespectful to the speakers and to the rules of procedure that the program has to end.”

Obviously frightened that the truth will come out.

Harvard's latest assault on Israel

Soon at a University near you!
http://news.google.co.il/news/search?aq=f&pz=1&cf=all&ned=en_il&hl=en&q=Ruth+Wisse:+Harvard's+Latest+Assault+on+Israel
By RUTH WISSE
In 1948, when the Arab League declared war on Israel, no one imagined that six decades later American universities would become its overseas agency. Yet campus incitement against Israel has been growing from California to the New York Island. A conference at Harvard next week called "Israel/Palestine and the One-State Solution" is but the latest aggression in an escalating campaign against the Jewish state.

The sequence is by now familiar: Arab student groups and self-styled progressives organize a conference or event like "Israeli Apartheid Week," targeting Israel as the main problem of the Middle East. They frame the goals of these events in buzzwords of "expanding the range of academic debate." But since the roster of speakers and subjects makes their hostile agenda indisputable, university spokespersons scramble to dissociate their institutions from the events they are sponsoring. Jewish students and alums debate whether to ignore or protest the aggression, and newspapers fueling the story give equal credence to Israel's attackers and defenders.

A featured speaker at Harvard's conference is Ali Abunimah, creator of the website Electronic Intifada, who opposes the existence of a "Jewish State" as racist by virtue of being Jewish. A regular on this circuit, he also keynoted a recent University of Pennsylvania conference urging "Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions" (BDS) of, from and against Israel. Ostensibly dedicated to protecting Palestinian Arabs from Israeli oppression, BDS has by now achieved the status of an international "movement," some of whose branches exclude Israeli academics from their journals and conferences.

But the economic war on Israel did not start with BDS. In 1945, before the founding of Israel, the Arab League declared a boycott of "Jewish products and manufactured goods." Ever since, the Damascus-based Central Boycott Office has tried to enforce a triple-tiered boycott prohibiting importation of Israeli-origin goods and services, trade with any entity that does business in Israel, and engagement with any company or individual that does business with firms on the Arab League blacklist. Although the U.S. Congress took measures to counteract this boycott, and the Damascus Bureau may be temporarily preoccupied on other fronts, the boycott momentum has been picked up by Arab students and academics.

Freedom of speech grants all Americans the right to prosecute the verbal war against Israel. But let's differentiate toleration from abetting. Harvard may tolerate smoking, but its medical school wouldn't sponsor a conference touting the benefits of cigarettes because doctors have learned that smoking is hazardous to health. The avowed mission of the Harvard Kennedy School of Government, host of the upcoming conference, "is to strengthen democratic governance around the world by preparing people for public leadership and by helping to solve problems of public policy." How farcical that instead of seeking to strengthen democratic governance, its students hijack its forum for "studying" how to destroy the hardiest democracy in the Middle East.

The pattern of anti-Israel attack, administrative embarrassment, Jewish confusion, and media exploitation of the story will continue until all parties realize that the war against Israel is fundamentally different from biases to which it is often compared. Once Americans acknowledged the evils of their discrimination against African-Americans, they abjured their racism and tried through affirmative action to compensate for past injustice. Arab and Muslim leaders have done the opposite. Having attempted to deny Jews their right to their one country, they accused Jews of denying Arabs their 22nd. After losing wars on the battlefield, they prosecuted the war by other means.

Students who are inculcated with hatred of Israel may want to express their national, religious or political identity by urging its annihilation. But universities that condone their efforts are triple offenders—against their mission, against the Jewish people, and perhaps most especially against the maligners themselves. Smoking is less fatal to smokers than anti-Jewish politics is to its users. Remember Hitler's bunker.

Ms. Wisse, a professor of Yiddish and comparative literature at Harvard, is the author of "Jews and Power" (Schocken, 2007).

For shame

The blogger who blogs under the pseudonym "Real Real Zionist" a misnomer if ever there was one has embarked on a series of hateful rants against Israel - the State of the Jewish People. Suffused as it is with plain lies and false premises it is no different in its scope or wished for effect from the anti-Semitism of old – the baseless hatred toward the Jewish People itself. He has thereby earned himself the title Real Real Racist - and as such that is how I will refer to him henceforth. Shame on the JC for allowing its website to be used to disseminate his muck.

Britain's Shame

Exactly 70 years ago – on February 24, 1942 – 19-year-old David Stoliar terrifyingly clung to bobbing debris in the Black Sea. At first he heard screams in the frigid waters but the voices died down. It eventually emerged that Stoliar was the sole survivor of the Struma, an un-seaworthy vessel chuck-full of frantic Jewish refugees.

World War II was already in fever pitch. Against the enormity of the then-unfolding Holocaust, the loss at sea of 768 Jewish lives (103 of them babies and children) was at most blithely overlooked as a marginal annotation.

Moreover, although these Jews fled the Nazis, in the pedantic literal sense they weren’t executed by Third Reich henchmen.

This atrocity was the coldblooded handiwork of Great Britain (committed while it combated the Germans but remarkably without compassion for their Jewish victims), supposedly neutral Turkey (whose so-called nonalignment didn’t extend to outcast Jewish refugees), by the Arabs (who were openly and unreservedly Nazism’s avid collaborators and who pressured London into denying endangered Jews asylum in the Jewish homeland) and, finally, by the Russians (who targeted the immobilized sardine can that carried Jews to whom nobody would allow a toehold on terra firma).

The entire world seemed united in signaling Jews how utterly unwanted they were anywhere.
...
On February 15, the British announced they’d make an exception in the case of Struma children aged 11 to 16. Wartime rationing was cited as the pretext for barring younger or older kids. The Jewish Agency guaranteed maintenance for all 103 underage Struma captives. In the end no child was freed.

Meanwhile, Turkey, egged on and emboldened by Britain, threatened to tow the floundering deathtrap beyond its territorial waters. The Jewish Agency warned that “the boat is in total state of disrepair and without life-saving equipment. Any sea-journey for this vessel cannot but end in disaster.”

The Turkish government, however, pitilessly ordered the condemned Struma tugged out to the Black Sea. Hundreds of truncheon-wielding Turkish policemen were dispatched to the Struma on February 23. They viciously clubbed passengers below deck. Despite resistance from the refugees, the anchor was cut, the Struma was towed out and was left paralyzed, to drift precariously without supplies or a drop of fuel.

On February 24, an explosion ripped it apart.

A Soviet submarine, Shchuka-213, patrolled northeast of the Bosporus. Stalking Axis craft, it torpedoed the wobbly barge, which sank in minutes. It’s estimated that as many as 500 were killed outright by the blast. The rest flapped feebly in the waves, till they expired of wounds, fatigue and hypothermia. Stoliar alone hung on, semi-conscious.

In pre-state Israel there was shock and grief. Demonstrations were mounted. For one day all work and commerce were halted and the population imposed a voluntary protest curfew on itself. Posters appeared on exterior walls everywhere bearing British High Commissioner Harold Mac Michael’s photo and announcing that he was “Wanted for Murder.”

The Struma’s heartrending end marked the effective end to most attempts to break Britain’s anti-Jewish blockade until the conclusion of WWII. A few fishing and sporting sailboats briefly tried to ferry handfuls of refugees. Some of them were sunk. Europe’s Jews had no escape left. Embattled Britain took time out from the war to make sure of it.
...

What sets the Struma apart and imbues it with extraordinary significance is that from December 16, 1941, until the afternoon of February 23, 1942, its ordeal was played out before the entire watching but unfeeling world. No country could deny awareness of the impending calamity and yet all countries let it happen in full view.

The Struma, then a 115-year-old Danube cattle barge, was a pitiful peanut-shell of a boat packed with nearly 800 refugees from Romania. Bound for the Land of Israel, they desperately fled Hitler’s hell and the horrors of Bucharest’s fascist regime. Pogroms and ghastly atrocities had already sullied cities like Iasi, where thousands of Jews were assembled in the market square and mowed down with machine guns. Venerable old rabbis and Jewish community leaders were impaled on meat hooks in town centers.

The Struma wasn’t struck suddenly. It was slowly tortured, accentuating with demonic deliberation how disposable Jews were, just when genocide’s monstrous machinery was switched into high gear. This 75-day shipboard melodrama underscored the total helplessness and humiliation of Jews without power.

...Oblivion is perhaps the greatest sin against the Struma but also against ourselves. If we forget the Struma, we forget why this country exists, why we struggle for its survival. We forget the justice of our cause.

Dimmed memory and self-destructive perverse morality hinder our ability to protect ourselves from the offspring and torchbearers of the very Arabs who doomed the Struma. They haven’t amended their hostile agenda. We just don’t care to be reminded.

The state the Jews created is threatened with destruction and its population with obliteration. Yet there’s negligible sympathy for Israel and even less practical support to avert tragedy. The Struma’s story is seminal in understanding why the Holocaust was possible and why a second Holocaust cannot be ruled out. More than anything, the Struma powerfully illustrates what happens when Jews rely on others’ goodwill.

Land Assault on Jerusalem

http://www.onejerusalem.org/2012/02/land-assault-on-jerusalem-1.php

March 30, is the date set by an international coalition of anti-Semites and Israel haters for a "Global March on Jerusalem."

The terrorists and their fellow travellers (some of whom blog their unconcealed hatred and mendacity on this website) have stated their goals in these words:

"The march will demand freedom for Jerusalem and its people and to put an end to the Apartheid, ethnic cleansing and Judaisation policies affecting the people, land and sanctity of Jerusalem."

"The march will confirm that the policies and practices of the racist Zionist state of Israel against Jerusalem and its people are a crime not only against Palestinians but against all humanity."

"The march will unite the efforts of Palestinians, Arabs, Muslims, Christians, Jews, and all citizens of conscience in the world to put an end to Israel's disregard for international law through the continuing occupation of Jerusalem and the rest of Palestinian land. We aim to make this march a turning point in the nature of the confrontation, with the occupation having to face millions of protesters and demonstrators demanding Freedom for Palestine and its capitol (sic) Jerusalem."

Check out her article in the Commentator.http://www.thecommentator.com/article/912/british_involvement_in_a_dangerous_middle_east_provocation

Ms. Sela is to be applauded for the in-depth, valuable research she has provided on this important story.

Now more than ever we need to recruit more people to sign the united Jerusalem petition. http://www.onejerusalem.org/sign.php

Ask friends and family to sign. Supporters of Israel must be recruited so we can increase our influence.

Haaretz the paper for the "thinking" person

http://www.meforum.org/3130/haaretz-newspaper

While there is nothing new or surprising in a paper's refusal to own up to its misreporting or publish facts and analysis contradicting its political line, it is ironic that "the paper for thinking people," as Haaretz habitually flaunts itself, would engage in the shoddy business of truth suppression and mouth shutting at a time when it self-righteously fights an alleged attempt by the Israeli government to do precisely that.

The BBC a law unto itself

This week the Supreme Court turned on a pinhead and managed to save the BBC from releasing the Balen Report which dealt with claims of anti-Israel bias in its Middle East reporting and which it has suppressed claiming somewhat hypocritically that the Freedom of Information Act which it uses time and again does not apply to it. I suppose the vigour with which it has defended its "right" to suppress this report leads one to the obvious conclusion that it indeed has much to hide.

That said it therefore comes as no surprise than when you go to its Middle East website these are the stories it is touting - all of which are more than a little slanted against Israel.

1. The world's most expensive lemons
2. EU report urges action on Israel
3. Bethlehem's shepherds a dying breed
4. Rising settler violence in West Bank

I am not linking to them why aid and abet the UK's answer to Al Jazeera, So it goes on ...

Arab Like Me

http://www.nationalreview.com/articles/291094/arab-me-lee-habeeb?pg=1
There are two kinds of Arabs in this world. Those who hate Jews, and those who don’t. And in my life, I have met more of the former than the latter.
I am not proud to say that. Arabs will not like me for admitting it. But it is true. And it is something I wish the Obama administration understood. It is something Americans should know as the “Arab Spring” enters its second year.
I didn’t know much about any of this as a Lebanese kid growing up in New Jersey. But I found out about it when I wrote my first pro-Israel column for my college paper as a young student journalist.
I defended Israel on some point I’ve long forgotten, but what I’ll never forget is the backlash I received from fellow Arabs. Some were Americans, others were students from Arab countries, many of whom I counted as friends.
First came the letters to the editor, then the personal insults. It was as if I’d broken a secret code I didn’t know existed. Some secret blood oath, which goes something like this: Arabs don’t speak unkindly of Arabs in public, or kindly about Israel.
The backlash stunned me. I pondered the pounding I had taken, and floundered a bit. I even thought for a short time of writing something negative about Israel the next time I had a chance, just to balance things out and reestablish my Arab bona fides.
One friend accused me of being a self-hating Arab. He explained to me that I was exploiting my ancestry to ingratiate myself with white America and the Jews who controlled white America.
I explained to him that I was white. And that I was an American. And that I didn’t believe that Jews controlled America. The Jewish men I knew had a hard enough time controlling their own families! But nothing I said helped relieve the tension, not even my stab at humor.
I also explained that many of my Jewish friends did not like my column. Most were liberals from New York or northern New Jersey who assumed I was with them on the politics of the Middle East, that I was in agreement with the governing thesis that drives most Arabs and liberal Jews: that it is Israel that is the problem in the region, not the Palestinians, and not the Arab world itself.
I also explained to him that I was mostly Lebanese, but also part German and part Italian, and that I was raised by parents who didn’t much care for the whole notion of hyphenated America. They taught me to think for myself, and have the courage to challenge authority. Even theirs, if I could make the case.
The fact is, Arabs don’t all look alike or think alike. But we are often pushed into a kind of groupthink, a kind of self-censorship that hinders our development and our understanding of ourselves and the world around us.
We are not a universal group. But some of us believe in a simple universal truth: that every Arab deserves to live in freedom, wherever he or she might call home. Some of us want Arab countries to be more like America and Israel, places where the individual can flourish.
Say those words to many Arabs and they are shocked and angered. Soon, words like imperialist are thrown about, and the subject turns to Israel. Always, it seems, it turns to Israel.
Why the anger when I hint that America and Israel might have something to teach the Arab world? I thought about it for the longest time, and only recently stumbled upon the answer.
It is all about Arab self-doubt. It is all tied to a profound lack of cultural self-confidence, and a deep-seated fear that maybe, just maybe, Arabs won’t be very good at the self-governance thing. That Arab nations won’t be capable of building democratic cultures that engender the flourishing of human freedom, and that these nations won’t have the ability to tap the God-given talents of their people the way Americans and Israelis do.
That maybe, just maybe, the Arab world will never measure up to America or Israel.
Better, goes the logic, to cling to anger over the plight of the Palestinians. Better to cling to international policy disputes and to a deep-seated hatred of Israel. Better to play the role of victim, and the role of self-righteous critic, than to do the hard work of lifting up the conditions of your people.

The truth about Breaking the Silence

Walinets who I consider to be obnoxious for his use of the anti-Semitic trope "Israel Lobby" whom he accuses of controlling US Foreign policy a claim made by leading anti-Semites who he now joins in infamy. My comment was therefore well made despite his own childish attempts to deflect it.
As to his lame responses to my questions regarding "Breaking the Silence" NGO Monitor says the following:
http://www.ngo-monitor.org/article/breaking_the_silence_shovirm_shtika_
•Breaking the Silence (BtS) “collects testimonies of soldiers who served in the Occupied Territories during the Second Intifada,” claiming that the “testimonies portray a…grim picture of questionable orders in many areas regarding Palestinian civilians [which] demonstrate the depth of corruption which is spreading in the Israeli military…Israeli society continues to turn a blind eye, and to deny that which happens in its name.”
•Direct and indirect government funders in 2010 included European Union (via Yesh Din, NIS 250,975), UK (NIS 528,728), Spain (NIS 1,142,356, including €498,025 for a joint project with ICAHD), joint funds from Switzerland, Sweden, Netherlands, Denmark (NIS 61,403); NIS 800,292 in 2011); ICCO (Netherlands, NIS 213,556), Trocaire (Ireland, NIS 114,225); DanChurchAid (Denmark, NIS 126,037), Christian Aid (UK, NIS 162,073).
•The NGO was active in promoting “war crimes” charges against Israel after the Gaza fighting in January 2009. These charges were based on anonymous and unverifiable hearsay “testimonies.”
•Analysis by Amos Harel in Ha’aretz: “Breaking the Silence...has a clear political agenda, and can no longer be classed as a ‘human rights organization.’ Any organization whose website includes the claim by members to expose the ‘corruption which permeates the military system’ is not a neutral observer. The organization has a clear agenda: to expose the consequences of IDF troops serving in the West Bank and Gaza. This seems more of interest to its members than seeking justice for specific injustices.” (July 17, 2009)
•Although claiming to address Israeli society, the NGO’s lobbying and media advocacy focus on international audiences, including presentations in Europe and the United States. Yehuda Shaul, BtS co-founder, defended this practice: “Sometimes, when you want to deliver messages to the inside, you must go outside.”
•BtS members and anti-Israel activists Yonatan and Itamar Shapira were on the “Jews for Justice for Palestinians” boat “Irene,” which sought to violate Israel’s security-based policies regarding naval traffic into Gaza (September 2010).
•Conducts tours to Hebron and the South Hebron Hills to “witness first hand the dire situation.” Criticized by Israeli police officials for “antagoniz[ing]...settlers in the hope that the settlers will attack them.”
For his information there never was a country called Palestine thus his repetition of the baseless claim "the perceived take-over of their country is a key factor" is plainly false - the "Palestinians" even though they were not called that in 1947 were given the opportunity by the UN to have a country they turned it down on the basis that they wanted all or nothing - they are even now after 60 years of bloodshed regretting that decision.

Anti-Israel racists on the JC Website

Some bloggers on this website believe they know what anti-Semitism is - the EUMC working definition is an inconvenience and nuisance for them because so convinced are they that there is not a racist bone in their body the mere fact that holding Israel to a standard no other country is held to or calling a sizeable proportion of its citizens "scum" surely cannot be racist or so they argue. So not content with denigrating Israel they denigrate the definition and engage in verbal gymnastics in order to salve their consciences.

However they should be aware that British law recognises that national groups can be subject to racism: in Section III of the Public Order Act 1986 “racial hatred” is defined as “hatred against a group of persons in Great Britain defined by reference to colour, race, nationality (including citizenship) or ethnic or national origins.”

Whilst it may be on occasion when they attempt to delegitimise Israel they mean Israel the “state” or “country”, not the Israeli people since the name of a country is often used in place of its government in most cases it is obvious that they mean Israel, its government, people and perceived national character. Talking totally out of context about so-called "Shared values" is just one example of this.

These bloggers believe themselves to be anti-racist, but think nothing of denying to an Israeli the idea that they have a national identity. Whilst they have no problem accepting that it is possible to harbour racist views about French people, or Americans, or Nigerians, or, for that matter, Palestinians, they deny it is possible to harbour racist views about Israelis on whom it is open season.

It seems anti-Israel racism is alive and well and thriving on the JC Website.

Shhhh don't tell RRZ!

Here's [http://www.ynetnews.com/articles/0,7340,L-4187269,00.html] another example of co-existence that the antis, especially the mob on here that try to portray Israel as the Evil Empire, don't want people to see.

School children from the Efrat settlement and residents of the neighbouring Palestinian village of Jurat al-Shama planted trees together in an initiative that promoted co-existence, Yedioth Ahronoth reported Wednesday.

The event, held on the Jewish holiday of Tu B'Shvat, aimed to block the hazardous dust that is being disseminated by a nearby tree-processing plant.

The factory's owner and a resident of Jurat al-Shama, Abu-Taled, relented recently to residents' complaints and built a stone wall that blocked the dust; but the barrier proved bothersome to both the Palestinian and Jewish residents of the area.

When a new traffic circle was installed at the entrance to Efrat recently, Mayor Oded Ravivi decided to level the land between the plant and the settlement, and replace the wall with a small forest.

"We met with Abu-Taled, and agreed to plant a grove on Tu B'Shvat in order to block the dust," Ravivi said. "Abu-Taled was very enthusiastic, and promised to bring friends and employees.

"This is how we could fulfill the mitzvah while also tightening our ties and work towards peaceful co-existence," he said, refering to the Jewish custom of planting trees on the nature-oriented holiday.

According to Ravivi, the sides are currently considering the possibility that Efrat security personnel would guard the factory at night, as part of the effort to cultivate a neighbourly relationship.

Intelligent Palestinians - go right ahead

See:http://myrightword.blogspot.com/2012/02/54-israelis-demographic-threat-all-bs.html

Alerted by IMRA (I haven't as yet received the Report), the most recent Peace Index out confirms the dichotomy in polling Israelis and proves what I and others have been claiming for years - that the proper questions are not being asked.

For example, on the issue of whether Israelis want "territories" or a "Jewish state", they found

a large majority (76%) preferring that Israel remain a country with a Jewish majority, with one-quarter preferring that Israel continue to rule all of the Land of Israel west of the Jordan. Asked how they would respond if they knew that "continued Israeli rule over the West Bank would lead to one state for Jews and Arabs in the entire Land of Israel that would not have a Jewish majority,” the majority (63%) answered that in this case they would oppose continued rule in the territories.

...

But consider this

However, the majority (54%) did not agree with the claim that continued rule in the territories will result in a country without a Jewish majority...[they believe] that continued rule in the territories will not prevent Israel from remaining a Jewish and democratic state. In other words, the public indeed prefers that Israel be a Jewish state over continued rule over the whole Land of Israel, but most of it does not believe there is a contradiction between the two objectives.

This is a powerful indictment of pollsters who never ask the obverse of the frame of reference of their pessimistic prophecies and thus, never reveal the true feelings and attitudes of Israelis.

Advis3r away on a rant?

Goldie you answer RRZ but do not pull him up and let him get away with repeating lies/myths.

However this incitement to the murder of over 300,000 Jews living in Judea and Samaria apparently is perfectly acceptable to be posted on a Jewish website?

There is a contract between Israeli society/the Israeli government whereby the settlers will do the imperialist dirty work and in return, the government will protect them. However, why should the rest of us care about a private contract? If this were an internal UK issue, for example, the contract would not be enforceable. This is a contract to enter into illegal activity which no court would enforce. Such contracts are void... No they don't have any rights

.

I thought Phoney was simply a moron - I was mistaken. His is a mind so twisted that he argues for the murder of Jews on the basis that since as he falsely maintains they live illegally on someone else's land they forfeit the right to life. I suppose by extension that goes for the Travellers in Basildon too?

The settlers as he calls them are Israeli citizens and under the Law of Israel and the consensus they are legally entitled to live in Judea and Samaria on authorised areas - this was enshrined in the Oslo Accords until such time as a peace agreement is signed between the parties.

Israel legitimately lays claim to Judea and Samaria by virtue of the rights granted to the Jewish people by the League of Nations besides its historical and moral claims. The Jews have stolen nothing - there was no legal sovereign in Judea and Samaria before 1967 and Jews would still not be living in Judea and Samaria if Jordan had not attacked Israel in 1967, it did and it lost. Jordan has since given up all claims to Judea and Samaria.

It is now a matter between the competing claims of Israel and the Palestinians and until that has been decided and settled talk of Israel illegally occupying Judea and Samaria is plainly wrong since it is in a similar situation to the Allied Powers after WWII with the added difference that unlike them it has a legitimate claim to the land it controls.

RRZ by calling for the ethnic cleansing (read murder) of 300,000 Jews shows precisely in whose camp he belongs, not someone with whom I would want to engage. A Zionist he plainly is not.

BBC at it yet again

Compare

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-middle-east-16195605

The village has previously seen so-called "price tag" violence. This is a policy of attacks on Palestinians or their property carried out by Jewish extremists in response to any action taken by the Israeli government or security forces against settlement expansion.

Note: A villager later claimed the Jews had nothing to do with the attack on the mosque and had his house shot up for his pains

With

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/culture/tvandradio/bbc/9067754/BBC-tells-its-...

In order to avoid making a “value judgment”, the corporation’s managers have ruled that he can only be described as “radical”.

Seems Jews allegedly carrying out vandalism can be called extremists and that is not a value judgment but not a terrorist Jew-hater with proven links to Al Qaida.
