Organised in association with Maccabi GB, the competition will feature an under-17 and an open event, with players of all standards welcome.

Team GB's performance at the European Maccabi Games has been described as a huge success, and rightly so.

The bar was clearly raised in several sports with the Open and Junior footballers proving a cut above the rest. It was also the Games where our futsal players put themselves on the map.

Medals galore for Team GB

Team GB produced an astonishing record-breaking performance at the 13th European Maccabi Games in Vienna .

The 220-strong delegation won a mammoth 71 medals of which 31 were gold, 23 silver and 17 bronze.

The three-man swimming team of Trevor Pears, Hollie Singer and Naomi Ayrton claimed 19 medals between them.

Katz: Brit pack will do the business

Dov Katz is confident that the Team GB table tennis squad will turn on the style at next month's European Maccabi Games.

Team manager to a group of players, including several who are nationally ranked, Katz believes that his troops have what it takes to go all the way in Vienna.

"We are sending arguably the strongest ever GB table tennis squad to a European Games," Katz said.

Katz delighted with promotion

Dov Katz, manager of Brighton Pavilion (BBATT) table tennis club, praised his team after they secured promotion to the Premier Division of the British League.

Maccabiah stalwart Katz steered his team to the runners-up spot in Division One south to qualify for the playoffs.

Maccabi game, set and match

Maccabi GB Table Tennis have retained the coveted Wembley and Harrow League title.

The league contains a number of the top 100 ranked players in the country but they had no answer to Maccabi.

A key player in the team this year was Rafi Marom who featured in all but one of the matches. He lost only twice this season and finished top of the league averages.

Brighton move into second place in the British League Division One after winning all four of their matches in Devon.

Managed by Maccabian stalwart Dov Katz, Brighton remain in contention for the Premier League play-offs next May after putting Cippenham, Progress, Woolwell and TTK Greenhouse to the sword.

Maccabi Table Tennis championships review

Defending champions Ashley Stokes retained the men’s title at the Maccabi GB Table Tennis Open Championships after beating Eli Baraty in the final.

More than 80 competitors of all ages, some of whom are highly nationally ranked, battled it out for various titles.

In its second year at the Harefield Academy, top seed, Zak Zilesnick spectacularly crashed out in the first round, thus ending his dream of making history by being the first and youngest player ever to win every male event available to him at this prestigious event.

Katz returns to Team GB table tennis

Dov Katz will spearhead Team GB's table tennis challenge at next year's European Maccabi Games in Vienna.

The Maccabi stalwart will manage the team and co-chair the sport alongside Lee Vandermolen.

Stephen Gooblar (Junior manager), Eli Baraty (head coach) and Jade Blasse (Assistant-coach) also have key roles. Mel Davidson, the national Maccabi GB table tennis chair, will join the management team as an advisor.

Maccabi GB table tennis wins top title

Maccabi GB Table Tennis has made history by finishing top in the coveted Wembley and Harrow League.

The league, which is one of the largest and strongest in the country, features a first division that includes vast numbers of national top 100 players and a plethora of other closely ranked players.

London Progress, who are 10 times national champions, fielded three teams this season’s first division. Despite this, Maccabi GB who run teams from their club at 'Kulanu' in Kenton, took the league title in style.

Katz and Stokes steer Brighton to British League playoff

Brighton have won the British League Division One after beating nearest rivals Fusion by a single games average having finished level on points.

The champions now face a playoff in May with teams from the north of England to qualify for the Premiership.

Maccabiah medallist Dov Katz captained the side which included Maccabiah men’s singles quarter-finalist Ashley Stokes and former England international Cris Sladden.

Brighton heading for the top table

Brighton maintained second place and on course for the Premiership playoffs after claiming a hat-trick of successes in the British League Division One.

Led by Dov Katz, the team also included England Jewish No. 1 Ashley Stokes, former England international Cris Sladden and Chinese star Dashua Shi.

They produced a scintillating display in Devon, beating London Progress (5-3), Generation II (6-2) and Woolwell (6-2).

Lying second in the British League Division One, Brighton are looking to build on an excellent start that featured a hat-trick of victories.

The 7-1 success against Urban Progress, last year’s Division One champions, was the most eye-catching with their opponents featuring top Hungarians Gergely Urban and Tibor Kadar.

The Brighton team includes captain Dov Katz, the men’s Maccabiah medallist and England men’s No. 90, Jewish No. 1 Ashley Stokes, Eli Baraty and former England international Cris Sladden, ranked 49 in the country.

Having won an early gold in the boys team table tennis competition, Team GB have continued to take silverware in San Francisco.

There was success in the track and field with Zac Skry winning a gold in the Mixed Relay followed by silver in the Long Jump.

Simon Zeffertt won a silver medal for the Mixed Relay.
