Adam Warner claimed a medal his first short-course competition of the season.

Warner, who will represent Team GB at next summer’s Maccabiah Games, took bronze in the 1,500m race and set a new personal best at the London Region Winter Championships at Barnet Copthall in north-west London.

Israel won another two medals on Day 10 of the 2012 Paralympic Games to take their tally to eight overall.

Noam Gershony won Israel's first gold medal of the 2012 Paralympic Games after beating David Wagner of America in straights sets on Saturday.


Koning-Peper makes a splash at Paralympics

Mirjam de Koning-Peper was the most successful Jewish athlete on week one of the 2012 Paralympic Games.

The Dutch paraplegic swimmer won gold and bronze at the Aquatics Centre to take her overall Paralympic medal tally to six.

2012 Paralympics: Day 5 round-up

Israel failed to claim its four medal of the Games despite having two athletes in one final on Monday.

Iad Joseph Shalabi finished fifth in 2:24:73 and Itzhak Mamistvalov finished in sixth place in a time of 2:25:60 in the Men's 100m final at the Aquatics Centre in Stratford.

Mamistvalov won bronze in the 200m Freestyle on Saturday.


2012 Paralympics: Day 3 round-up

Israel claimed two more medals on Saturday, with swimmers Inbal Pezaro and Itzhak Mamistvalov coming up trumps at the Aquatics Centre.

Inbal Pezaro secured her second bronze of the Games with a scintillating performance in the 200m freestyle. This followed her third place finish in the 50m freestyle final on Thursday.


Pezaro claims second Paralympic medal

Swimming sensation Inbal Pezaro captured her second medal of the 2012 Paralympic Games on Saturday.

Having claimed bronze in the 50m freestyle on Day One, the Israeli finished third again, this time in the 200m freestyle final.

She had won her heat earlier in the day.

Pezaro said: "I'm delighted to win a second medal but disappointed with my performance.


Pezaro takes bronze at Paralympics

Inbal Pezaro recovered from a slow start to give Israel its first medal of the 2012 London Paralympics.

The five-time Paralympic medallist added a bronze to her collection after a miraculous comeback in the 50m freestyle final.

She said: "I'm happy to have given Israel a lucky start to the Games."

Pezaro, 25, had finished runner-up in her heat at the Aquatics Centre.


GB win medals galore at JCC Games

Team GB have returned from the JCC Games in Rockland, New York, with a record medal haul.

The squad broke the previous total from Denver in 2010 with a mammoth 96 medals.

The Boys Football team held their nerve to win one of 34 gold medals following a nail-biting penalty shootout
against Suffolk County.


Maccabi GB stars shine

Team GB made a flying start to the JCC Games in Rockland, New York.

Both Daniel Schindler and Robert Dos Santos won gold and bronze in swimming, while Chloe Jacobs took silver and Elisha Kramer a bronze.

In golf, Jack Myers took his tally to three golds and a silver after winning the two-day tournament. Joey Charles won two bronze medals in the under-14 category.
