The Project Israel-sponsored team are still celebrating having triumphed in the most prestigious of the UK's summer Rugby Sevens competitions.

Sam Herrick led a fine team performance as skipper to win the Women's Open at the London Wasps ground in Acton.

The travelling Pumas team came away with a credible 2-2 draw against Israel’s national rugby team and Development XV at Park Hayarkon in Tel Aviv.


Schwartz, 16, looking to go up another level

The Cardiff-born teenager is on the books of the Cardiff Blues and hopes to be starring for Wales under-18s.

Pumas ready for Israel test

Team manager and coach Feld will lead the squad on the trip, which marks the start of a new legacy by Project Israel, an organisation formed to bring sports and cultural tours from the UK to Israel.


Israel finding life tough at the top

GB players unite in memory of Seltzer

Players from the Maccabi Great Britain team are in action this weekend in an exhibition match against SSE National League 3 side Barking RFC.

The contest is expected to be the first of an annual fixture to commemorate former Maccabi GB player Jonathan ‘Jock’ Seltzer who died of pancreatic cancer in June, 2010, aged 56.
