Baum going for gold with GB U16 football squad

Richard Baum and Scott Ansher will spearhead Great Britain’s under-16 Boys Football squad at the 20th Maccabiah Games.

A veteran of three Maccabiahs, Baum, a former Spurs youth team player alongside the likes of Sol Campbell and Nick Barmby, played regularly at Conference level for Sutton United before representing Wingate & Finchley FC and, later, Faithfold.

Lustigman led Great Britain’s U18 Futsal Team to gold at the European Maccabi Games in Berlin last summer.

Laurence Myers and Scott Warren insist Team GB U18 Futsal are going for gold at the 20th Maccabiah Games in Israel in 2017.

Having guided GB to gold at the European Maccabi Games in Berlin last summer, Myers and Warren are renowned for their success in developing young, futsal talent and they will spearhead the squad again in Israel next year.

Joseph to lead Team GB tennis medal charge at 20th Maccabiah

Stephen Joseph has spoken of his excitement after being appointed Team GB Tennis Chair for the 20th Maccabiah Games in Israel in 2017.

Joseph has played for a number of clubs before becoming a member of the David Lloyd Bushey Club for close to 25 years. During his time with Bushey, he has competed in both the Men’s and Mixed Doubles teams, often as Captain.

ASHLEY Stokes had mixed emotions after a career-best finish at the ping pong World Championship.

Stokes won three matches before bowing out at the last 16 stage to Russian two-time winner Maxim Shmyrev at Alexandra Palace.

Burnt-Oak based Stokes, 26, eclipsed his previous best in the annual tournament won by defending champion Andrew Baggaley, who pocketed the £13,200 top prize.
