Katz targets silverware after signing for Jersey RFU

Sam Katz has described his move to Jersey RFC as a big step forward after signing for the English Championship club.

Katz, 25, represented England Students during his last year of university two years ago before moving to Spain.

He helped SilverStorm El Salvador win the Copa Del Rey in front of the King of Spain and 26,000 fans at the Jose Zorilla Stadium earlier this year.

Trevor Racke is targeting silverware after being appointed co-manager of Team GB’s Open Women’s Football squad at the 20th Maccabiah Games in 2017.

Racke will spearhead the group alongside Arthur Duke and said: "We intend to prepare our squad with the very best of our ability and to work with quality coaches and fitness coaches that will bring the very best out of our Women’s team.

Simon Kay has been selected to chair Team GB Rowing for the 20th Maccabiah Games in 2017.

Kay has a rich and prestigious history in the sport, picking up his first oars as a 12-years-old whilst at Carmel College. He went on to represent Great Britain in the Junior World Championships whilst also becoming the National Schools champion.

Robert Rackind has been appointed chairperson for Team GB’s Squash teams for the 20th Maccabiah Games.

Rackind has won gold at the Maccabiah both as a player and a manager and he is confident his experiences of the Games will lift the squad to new heights.

"Competing for my country at the Maccabiah was one of the greatest experiences of my life,” said Rackind.

Sawdaye and Stein looking to put Girls Football back on the map

Nicole Sawdaye insists the Team GB under-18 squad can make a big impact in the Girls Football competition at next summer’s Maccabiah Games.

Sawdaye, who will be assisted by Liam Stein, has managed GB squads at several JCC Maccabi Games, while Stein guided the U14 Boys team to gold at the same event last year.
