Lipman crowned Player of the Season

Josh Lipman was crowned JC MSFL Player of the Season on Monday night.

The Hendon United Sports Club A central defender capped an excellent season by winning the top individual award at the end of season ceremony in Edgware.

Lipman was voted the stand-out performer in a season where Hendon clinched the treble.

Jets stars honoured

North West London Jets FC held its first ever award ceremony to celebrate the achievements of every player from under seven’s to under 12's with medals for all the players.

Trophies were awarded to players from the under nine's up to under 12's as well for Respect, Top Goalscorer, Rising Star, Outstanding Contribution and Player of the Year.

Lions make step up

London Lions Reserves will play in Division One of the Spartan South Midlands Reserve League next season after their promotion was finally ratified.

Lions, who won their final five league games of the season to secure a second place finish, will now face several clubs who have their first team in the Premier Division.

Golden weekend for HIS

HIS enjoyed a stunning weekend of success at the Jom Havoetbal tournament in Amsterdam.

The under-eight side, managed by Michael Abraham, won all their group games without conceding, before thrashing locals Rosh Pinah 7-0 in the final thanks to four goals from Chase Calvert.

Benayoun to decide future

Yossi Benayoun’s future will be decided in the coming days with the Israel captain looking set to remain in London.

Chelsea have received inquiries from Spurs, West Ham and QPR about the availability of the 32-year-old midfielder, while Arsenal may yet bid to offer Benayoun a permanent contract following his loan spell with the Gunners.

Last week, Jamie Cole, the former manager of North West Neasden, played down the claims of Hendon boss David Garbacz who described his treble winning team as “greatest” that the MSFL has ever seen.

Lions sign hot-shot Pearson

London Maccabi Lions A joint-manager Josh Newman has confirmed that striker Michael Pearson will be returning to the club next season.

Pearson was the Premier Division’s top-scorer with 15 goals for Faithfold but the former JC MSFL Player of the Year will return to Rowley Lane to join the club who recently finished league runners-up.

Nyman is top Lion

Dean Nyman collected two pieces of silverware at London Lions’ end of season awards.

The striker capped an excellent campaign after he was confirmed manager Tony Gold’s Player of the Season. He also received the top-scorer prize.

Defender Kyle Bentwood was named Players’ Player of the Season, while Jordan Nathan was named top young player.
