Grant takes over at Partizan Belgrade

Partizan Belgrade today confirmed Avram Grant as their new manager.

The Israeli was keen to return to the Premiership despite taking West Ham and Portsmouth down, but the Partizan board have identified Grant as the man they want to take over from Aleksandar Stanojevic who was sacked following a dispute with the club's board.

London Lions paid the price for a poor team performance against top of the table London Colney, going down 3-1 at home.

IFA probe

Israel FA chairman Avi Luzon was questioned under caution by Israeli police earlier this week regarding match-fixing allegations.

Two full days of interrogation revolved around suspected intervention by Luzon in the selection of referees for Ligat Ha'Al games involving Maccabi Petach Tikva, the club where he formerly served as chairman.

Omri signs

Omri Altman has spoken of his first-team aspirations after signing a two-year deal with Fulham.

The Israeli, who turns 18 in March, joined the Fulham Academy last year.

Altman said: "I'm very happy to sign for Fulham and love my life in London.

"I've spoken with the manager, Martin Jol, and everything is working out well.
