Redbridge sorry for fan abuse

Redbridge Jewish Care boss Sam McCarthy has apologised to Hendon goalkeeper Russell Corin following the verbal abuse he received at the Cyril Anekstein Cup final.

Redbridge fans behind the goal, chanted cruel jibes about Corin's weight throughout a match that saw Redbridge complete the double.

Cohen gets a card - now he wants a contract

Tamir Cohen hopes his 90th-minute winner against Arsenal will earn him a new contract at Bolton Wanderers.

The goal gave him the chance to pay tribute to his late father, Avi, who was killed in a motorcycle accident in Israel.

He revealed that he had been wearing a T-shirt with his father's portrait since returning to England after his death in December.

Cohen dedicates goal to father

Tamir Cohen dedicated his last-minute winner against Arsenal to father Avi Cohen, who died in a motorcycle accident late last year.

The Israeli midfielder broke down in tears as he wheeled away in delight, ripping off his Bolton shirt to display a T-shirt with a picture of his dad on it, for which he was booked.

Maccabi vets hold advantage

Manchester Maccabi and South Manchester Sports Club will contest the final of the MJSL Veterans Challenge Trophy after coming through the round robin stages.

Maccabi won both their match comfortably. South saw off Leeds Maccabi 5-1 to book their place in the final at Brooklands on May 1.
