FC Team La Manga tour diary

FC Team have returned home from another successful trip to La Manga in Spain.

The club played three games in four days - winning one and losing two.

They stepped straight off the plane for their first game on Thursday night, an 8.30pm kick-off at Muleno Stadium against Muleno CF.

Promotion-chasing SPEC FC had far to much on the day with goals from Ricky Lawrence, Jack Bookatz, Robert Murray, Craig Cohen and JC star man Dan Cohen taking them past Jewventus.

As the snow fell heavily over the Cinderella Hairena, SPEC ensured they ended the calendar year in true seasonal style with a Christmas cracker.

Maccabi Masters review: December 18

Glenthorne United A climbed into second spot in Division One of the Maccabi Masters League with a 2-1 victory over Scrabble.

All the goals came late in the match with Jason Levy and Hadley Vernon scoring for Glenthorne. Scrabble's goal came through Charlie Bernstein  right at the death.

WINNER: - Lee Cash (NW Neasden A) - "a goal that will be remembered for a very long time. It was one of those where you will be able to say ‘I was there the day Lee Cash scored that'. The ball dropped out the sky 35 yards away from goal. Lee turned and unleashed a strike that seemed to stop time; the moment it left his boot you just new this was something special.

Hapoel bow out on a high

Israel’s involvement in this season’s Europa League ended on a high as Hapoel Tel Aviv beat Legia Warsaw 2-0.

A goal in each half from Salim Toama and Avihay Yadin saw Hapoel run out worthy winners in a game missed by manager Dror Kashtan, due to a family bereavement.

The win saw Hapoel finish third in Group C, two points behind Legia.
